Computer and Sciences Educator
Hi there! I'm Mrs.Schmidt, an educator from Paarl, South Africa.
I started my teaching journey in 2020 when my husband encouraged me to obtain my TEFL certificate. I'm glad I agreed because the past 4 years of my career have been the best. I love educating and finding ways to improve our education system.
I am a qualified EFL teacher, having obtained a level 3, 120-hour TEFL certificate. I currently study at the University of South Africa, and am in my second year of a bachelor's degree in criminology.
Although I have taught a variety of subjects and students, the most experience I've gained as an educator is starting an online homeschool for neurodivergent students. Our center currently caters to only 6 students but a small start is still a start!
The reason I became a teacher is because I love learning and it worries me that many children do not receive the proper education that would entice them to seek more knowledge.
My teaching philosophy is that we all make mistakes, so why not make them in the classroom rather than the exam!
